How to delete your account for Android users

For any Android users downloading INEQE Safeguarding Group Apps, there will be at times where an account creation is needed, or when a user needs to delete their account.

Types of Authentication:

When creating an account for the first time after downloading an INEQE Safeguarding Group App, dependant on the type of app, we will ask users to create an account. These credentials will be the method of authentication when logging into the app. 

We will ask for the following information:

  • Email Address
  • Password

How can users delete their account if it is no longer required:

When a user no longer needs their account, they will have the ability to permanently delete themselves as a user. To do this, please follow these instructions:

1) When logged into your app you will see the profile icon on the top right hand corner of the screen. Tap the icon where it will take you to your account.

2) Your account will now appear on screen where you have the option to tap 'Delete My Account'.

3) Once you tap 'Delete My Account' the following screen will appear asking to confirm whether you want to delete your account or cancel.

*Please note this action cannot be undone once you select 'delete'.

What data is deleted/stored after deletion:

Upon deletion of your account, all data associated with your user account will be permanently erased. This includes any digital tests completed within the app, as well as any certificates or roles (such as Staff, Parent/Carer) which were added within the app.

Data handling after account deletion:

When a user deletes their account within the app, all user data is permanently erased and not retained by INEQE Safeguarding Group. This includes the user's account and any associated data within it. The deletion process is initiated by the user and ensures that all information is permanently removed.
