This feature enables authorised users to communicate with specific groups of people in a closed, one way environment.
Note: Noticeboards can only be created Within the App and not through the web management portal.
You have a max of 5MB file size, and can use PDFs, video files and image files.
Noticeboards are a closed, one way form of communication, meaning there is only communication from the creator of the board to its members.
Using Digital Noticeboards
If you are a Safeguarding or Staff user role within the Safer Schools App, you're able to create Digital Noticeboards from within your App. All other user roles within the App have the ability to join noticeboards only and read the posts the creator puts in there.

Setting up Noticeboards
Setting up and having users join your Noticeboards is a multi-stage process ensuring only those you want on the boards have access.
STEP 1 Upon navigating to your main menu, and scroll down to the Noticeboards tile in the menu. Upon opening this, you'll see any previously created noticeboards, or ones you've joined.
STEP 2 The next thing to do is to click Create Noticeboard at the bottom of the screen. You'll then see a dialogue box asking for a name and description of the board.
Upon submitting this Name and Description, a Numerical Code and a QR Joining Code will be generated. These are the codes you'll need to give to those you'd like to join your Noticeboard, and can be found at any time by tapping the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner of the noticeboard. Its the symbol that looks like a cog.
Joining a Noticeboard
Any role can join a Noticeboard.
STEP 1 Once you've received a joining code in the form of a numerical code or QR code, you'll need to open the main menu of the App and scroll down to 'Noticeboards'. Once you click on that, you'll need to select 'join a Noticeboard'. Here you'll be asked to enter the joining code or scan the QR code.
If correct, you'll now be added to that Noticeboard and can view it whenever you open the Noticeboards tile in your App. You'll also receive Push Notifications whenever the creator makes a new post.
And it's as simple as that! If you're the Creator of the Noticeboard, you'll also be able to see who has viewed your 'notices'.
Note: This only applies to adult roles. If you have pupils as members of your board, you will not see viewership of your notices.
Remember, noticeboards can be used to share not only text, but documents and images as well. You could send updates of pictures of lost property items, timetables or Safeguarding PDFs, or simple text messages to enable your board members to see information they need quickly and clearly. You can even share Travel Tracker links on them.

If you want to enter something other than text, when you input your message tap the paperclip to the bottom left-hand side of the message box. This will show an option for you to choose a file to upload to your Noticeboard. If you need a Travel Tracker link, or other link, to be shared, simply copy the link and press and hold in the text box of the Noticeboard for the Paste option, just like anywhere else on your device.
Note: You only have a max of 5MB files size, and can use PDFs, video files and image files.
